STORYHIVE Scripted Edition

STORYHIVE Scripted Edition is offering new and emerging filmmakers $20,000 in production funding to produce a 20-45 minute locally reflective narrative film. In addition to the funding, selected projects will also receive mentorship from the National Screen Institute and distribution on TELUS Optik TV and the STORYHIVE YouTube channel.

Program Dates

• Applications open: Apr 9, 2024

• Applications close: May 21, 2024 at 11:59 pm PT

• Recipients announced: Sep 19, 2024

• Production starts: Oct 22, 2024

• Production ends: Dec 1, 2025

Project Requirements

Each project will consist of a 20-45 minute locally reflective narrative film plus 30-60 minutes of Bonus Content. For more info, see our FAQs.

• Please sign up on STORYHIVE and create your STORYHIVE creator profile or simply login if you already have an account.

• Please review the application to determine all of the materials you will need to submit. NOTE - You do not need to submit everything at the same time (Click "Save application" to save your work as you go). We recommend that you start your application early and submit it at least 24 hours before the deadline to avoid last minute snags. If your completed application is not submitted by the deadline, it will not be eligible for funding.
